The June 5th business meeting was called to order by President Bill. Pete Gabriel made a motion to accept the minutes with a correction that we were not required to work the event at El Cowboy, Joe seconded the motion and it passed.
TREASURER'S REPORT
Bill Lowery advised he made some changes in deposits because we did not have enough money. We made $210 at bike night, $384 at Barry Dingles and $500 at El Cowboy. We are $800 to $900 in the hole for the track meet. He doesn’t know if we are getting any money for the shirts. The general fund has $1200.53, Youth and Community has $1088.47 and savings has $1000 for a balance. Joann made a motion to accept the treasurer’s report. Floyd seconded the motion and it passed.
Joann advised the picnic will be Sunday, August 19th at 3:00. Meat, plates, napkins etc, will be provided. She asked us to please bring lawn chairs. The calling committee will be calling to find out what we are bringing. Joann would like to know by the 17th.
Joe advised the wine taste was well received; however, we didn’t sell enough tickets. The venue was much better than the Saxon Club. Next year we need to concentrate on selling more tickets.
Joann contacted Ken Carano regarding another event being held by El Cowboyon June 23rd. He will let us know.
Pete Gabriel reported on the golf outing. We need golfers to register. We have sold $300 for holes so far. He passed out fliers and applications. We need to get the word out for this to be a success.
The steak fry for the zone meeting will be August 15th.
The next business meeting will be Tuesday, July 10th , at the Falcon Grill at noon.
The meeting closed with the Optimist Creed.
Respectfully submitted,
Lynn Larson, Secretary
